Housing is an important issue across New Jersey.
Expanding options for affordable and appropriate homes at every age and stage of life ensures economic stability and enables residents to age and retire in New Jersey. Housing that is affordable across the lifespan directly impacts our ability to age well, to save for retirement and to choose where we live.
This new poll from Great Homes and Neighborhoods for All NJ, of which our Lifelong Strong partner New Jersey Future is a member, highlights the experiences residents across New Jersey face at every age, along with a gauging of voters’ level of support for a number of potential solutions.
As the report finds, “Nearly 90 percent of New Jerseyans agree that the cost of renting or buying a home in the state is a problem…too many New Jersey residents cannot find an affordable home in a community that meets their needs, and we need to advance a comprehensive set of solutions to address our housing supply and affordability issues.”
